We’re looking for motivated leaders, connecters, and self-starters to join the Board of Directors to support our Executive Director, Aziza Robinson-Goodnight, and Staff. We meet quarterly for evening Board meetings in Downtown Boston (currently virtual), and hold an annual Board retreat each Summer. Board members commit to a Give or Get annual contribution of $1,000, which can be donated, raised, or contributed through a donation of time & services (for example, teaching in one of our programs).
We’re a hands-on Board, and we’re passionate about the work that TCP does to engage and empower young people through creativity and the arts.
We’re currently seeking new members with the follow expertise:
- Fundraising
- Video Production, Photography and Media
- Law
- Finance & Accounting
- Studio & Client Management
- Art & Youth Education
Finance & Fundraising Committee
- We’re looking for a new Treasurer to replace the incredible Maria Egan in 2021!
This group meets monthly with the Executive Director to review and support fundraising efforts. These meetings are led by the Treasurer.
Events & Marketing Committee
This group meets monthly, and supports our annual Gala, Bearing Witness, in addition to short-term projects. When we our Creative Classrooms program had to go virtual on a moments notice, this is the committee that launched the effort, meeting weekly to support the staff.
Governance Committee
This group support our contingency planning, Board recruitment and more. This group meets ad hoc as needed, but does not have regular additional meetings.
Beyond the Committees, we’re always looking for passionate people to work on developing the TCP network, form new partnerships, grow our community of teaching artists, and more!
